You are free to pay more tax or give your money to charity - don't expect a round of applause.

Why the hell would you trust the government with more money when they do such a bad job with what they already steal? At least with charity you can have some confidence that it will go to the people actually affected and not just end up in the bureaucratic gravy train. Hell, you could just start your own charity with that excess money.

Also, 'Newspaper columnists and Twitter's angry brigade came out in force'. Nice unbiased journalism there from the BBC again.

I will never understand this retarded argument: 'We care about this issue so deeply, but we don't care about it quite enough to make our own choices and give our money away freely so therefore we need big daddy government to force us to, to make up for what we lack in personal conviction.'

Not to mention why the hell would you trust the government with more money when they do such a bad job with what they already steal? At least with charity you can have some confidence that it will go to the people actually affected and not just end up in the bureaucratic gravy train. Hell, you could just start your own charity with that excess money.

Fuck off bitch, give to charity.

This meant to be a socialist 'ok' to the masses, that, yes, rich people want to pay more? Anything to assist the Democrats isn't it BBC?

Total bullshit. This is what we call " Pulling the ladder up after you".

at the bottom of your 1040 form is the option to pay more taxes than you are obliged to.

Fill it in and keep quiet? Or your only desire to be SEEN to care rather than to DO anything

And that's another futile complaint for "Twitter's angry brigade". So much for neutral, unbiased journalism.

The more you talk to more I know you don't believe what you're saying. If you did, you'd give all your money away and not tell anyone.
