My comments have been automarked as "spam" for like a month now, it's completely taken the fun of commenting away.

...and then came Dissenter!

Disqus has suddenly gotten way more intrusive and that makes them evil. They can stick it where the sun don't shine.

Dissenter is where it's at for now... and i'm sure more people will find more ways to comment on anything they wish from this time on.

Dissenter has led the way. Others will follow. Finding a way to kill dissenter at this point will only lead to more applications that do the same thing. And each one will be harder to kill.

You can't hold back freedom forever.

Disqus is an anti-commenting platform posing as a commenting platform.

My experience with using disqus has been that my first comment after creating an account was marked as spam, I clicked the 'not-spam' button. Then I made more comments, some of which were posted.

Eventually when I tried using it on other websites I found that all my comments were being auto-marked as spam, now however it did not provide me the option to designate them as 'not-spam'.

In other words, none of my comments would ever be allowed to be posted and there was no apparent recourse.

I contacted disqus help, and they told me to (paraphrasing) "keep posting comments to gain 'rep'". Apparently they don't understand English when I say none of my comments are allowed to be posted.. by default. Then days later the disqus 'help' I was talking to deleted his account (of tens of thousands of comments) all just memory holed instantly, such that my help thread now looked like I was talking to a ghost. The next 'help' person (on discuss disqus) I talked to just acted like that was normal. (and had no answers)

Eventually I tried to contact a site moderator on a forum I wanted to comment on. They answered my reply (which is rare as most sites do not even bother), and they did 'something' and it allowed me to comment on that specific site.. albeit every comment goes thru a moderation process.

Seemingly any and all other websites using disqus still have the problem in that everything I have tried to post is auto-marked as spam.

Fast forward a year, and I try contacting help again. This time they have a new "unspam account" 'feature'. So I go thru the process. They tell me they did something, then tell me to wait at least two business days. So I wait, and wait, and wait. A month has past and there is no discernible change. Still have all the same problems, and now they tell me to "do the process again" I concluded their 'help' system is just a runaround system designed to waste my time until I lose interest, and in that respect it worked.

Disqus can go die in a fire, Gab Dissenter is the solution!
