Smart political play on her part. The democrats' lack of moderation and negation of classic liberal values is what's going to kill them during this next election.

Pocahontas is trying to be more "moderate" or something? She needs to go have a beer in her kitchen.

Capitalism is nothing more than the idea that you have the rights to own property and to freely trade with your neighbors. Crooksters in government have bastardized it and propped up the mega-corporations of their closest friends to the point where the market can't clean house the way it should naturally be able to.

Democrats do not have principles. they do not have ideals other than power. Power is all that matters. Elizabeth Warren can go from advocating for socialism to advocating for capitalism at the drop of a hat if it meant getting votes. Disgusting scumbag.

I don't know what the fuck is going on.

Here is AOC's quote about capitalism: "The most important thing is the concentration of capital and it means that we seek and prioritize profit and the accumulation of money above all else and we seek it at any human and environmental cost. That is what that means. To me that ideology is not sustainable and cannot be redeemed."

This overgrown child, this pompous nitwit, has no business pontificating on anything. Even for a socialist that is a pathetic definition of capitalism.

Capitalism is better defined as economic freedom, for it is the only system that advocates for free exchange between private parties. There is no third party that intrudes itself upon the affairs of private citizens, claiming the right to extract resources for the sake of "doing good." This third party is an interloper, usually the government, and it must use force. Capitalism is about voluntary transactions, voluntary contracts, and not using force.

This contrast between the voluntary nature of capitalism and the authoritarianism of all other systems should be at the heart of every simple definition of capitalism. In fact, capitalism is a misleading moniker, the system would be more accurately called 'voluntaryism'- or something of the sort.

I may not agree, but I do respect that people have reservations about the limits of capitalism, believing that a third party should "correct" for capitalist abuses, which entails a "legitimate" use of force; but that is simply the start of an important debate.

However, to begin with a biased and inaccurate definition of capitalism like "it's about money and not caring about the people or environment" is to start in bad faith, to collapse any reasonable discussion.

In AOC's case, I think it is simply ignorance. This is the shit they teach in "higher" education. But the truly disturbing thing? AOC has a degree in economics! I repeat, this nitwit has a degree in economics, yet this is how she defines capitalism.

When asked about the economic impossibilities of her Green New Deal, as in "how do we pay for it?" AOC said, "how do we pay for anything?" Economics degree, folks. Utterly disgraceful.
