WASHINGTON (AP) — In a major expansion of gun rights after a series of mass shootings, the Supreme Court said Thursday that Americans have a right to carry firearms in public for self-defense, a ruling likely to lead to more people legally armed.

RUBBISH; The Supreme Court did not EXPAND GUN RIGHTS, it RESTORED a CONSTITUTIONAL Right which the Constitution itself declares "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED". The Supreme Court is there to interpret the Constituion or Federal laws according to what is "WRIT" and not on the basis of what vociferous hroups groups of people in the community WISH it should be. Were it to do so it would be making POLITICAL decisions and not Judicial Decisions. We already have the huge scandal of Roe v Wade on the books and look what it has done to the cohesiveness of the US nation and its people. Likewise the Supreme Courts involvement in issues involving issues of sexually degenerate lifestyles. THEY ARE ALL MATTERS FOR LEGISLATION BY THE STATES AND THEIR OWN PEOPLE, since none of them can rely on any US Constituional provision!.
