Rick is discussing:

A new strategy cutting funding to the UN is more focused on trade than poverty relief, charities say.

An excellent first step. The UN is far past its sell-by date and was never meant to be another arm of the global wealth redistribution industry it is today.

More countries need to follow suit, and not just with aid funding. The, for lack of a better term, lesser countries have learned how to manipulate voting, and trading favours in the various bodies, to push various agenda, and it's all become a bit of a clown show.

Saudi Arabia being elected to the UN Women's Rights Commission being the prime example, leaving the fact that that whole thing even exists in the first place.

In short, the fat needs trimmed, and now is a great time to get started with the incoming financial crisis an excellent excuse.
