I lived thru the best ones... I doubt we ever get back to those levels of innovation. As simplistic as Pong seems it was MARVELOUS - I remember opening that gift from My grandad for Christmas. He was in his 60's, a soldier who stormed Normandy in to 40's and he was DYING to play it!
