Didn't read the article but I'm assuming she's referencing Barry Sotoro's nomination of Garland. 2 big differences... 1. Trump isn't at the end of his 8 years in office. 2. The Senate isn't controlled by the opposition party. The senate struck down Barry's pick, let Trumps pick go through the same process and let them make a decision, as the US Constitution requires.
