The Supreme Court, in an order released Tuesday, allowed families of Sandy Hook victims to proceed with a lawsuit against gun manufacturer Remington Arms despite the company's claims that it was protected from liability by federal law.

I mentioned in my comment on the NPR article, if this would set the proper precedent for personal responsibility this would be great, but juries are not hearing this any more and tend to assign blame up the chain. This is going to be a damned nightmare and I will be genuinely surprised, even shocked, if the case comes out that gun manufacturers are not responsible for how people use their products.

Though, I suppose this will get settled out-of-court.
