Saudi Arabia didn't abolish slavery until 1962. Despite that a culture of slavery still exists. "Maids" are hired from India, the Philippines, some places around east Africa, and other places, and serve as indentured servants (slaves in all but name) for years at a time. There's even a not-really-underground trade in people.
If Western lefties were really serious about human rights there would be continuous world wide protests and embargoes of the place and other Muslim majority countries where such things happen. But that isn't happening. The West spent years hounding the apartheid government of South Africa out of existence, but Islamic slavery is ignored. The only reasonable explanation seems to be hating white people is safe but holding Muslims accountable is deemed "racist".
