This is why, if you put a picture of an extreme leftist and Aldolf Hitler next to each other, and tell me to point to the Nazi, even if you point a gun to me, I will point to the extreme Leftist every time. Every time. My brain cannot cognizantly differentiate between the two. I know who Hitler is. But from my point of view, it is the Left who are Nazis.

My brain does this because there is no truer depiction of the phrase, "He who fights monsters must take care not to become monsters themselves, for when you stare into the abyss the abyss stares back," than the Left.
