I remember watching his coverage of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the opening up of the former East Germany to the West not long before I headed to Germany to study. It was fun to see the TGI Friday's across from Checkpoint Charlie that Lamb had covered at the time.
It was a shame to see C-Span start to circle the drain years later as TDS set in. Once you lose your integrity, it's hard to ever get it back. C-Span enjoyed a level of trust much of the media didn't enjoy but like the Weather Channel it chose to flush it for no political gain whatsoever.
