Gaming on consoles is just like gaming on prettier-looking PC boxes, and there hasn't been exclusive or specialized hardware in them since the PS3.
Steam, Nutaku and itch.io are still a thing and have many waifu and husbando for us to still enjoy. ^_^ It's much less censorious off of the consoles., not perfect, but better.
